A alternative to the Common Core Math is available on the website: http://www.itmeansmath.com . This program makes use of three modals of teaching. It has been tested on learning challenged and gifted children with great success. Rather than departmentalize math, this program progresses logically so that it becomes obvious why we do math as we do. It also makes comparisons to other approaches to problem solving to show their strengths and weaknesses. It is designed for teacher, parent, and child. The student could go over the lessons several times to pick up the various nuances of a topic. Send comments and corrections to immiller2@aol.com.
